  • Tunacado: Tuna Salad With A Twist

I call this Tunacado. It’s a healthier version of tuna salad because it’s blended with avocado instead of Mayonnaise. Tunacado has the same creamy texture you’d want with an awesome nutty avocado taste. I am addicted. College Boy likes it too  (which means it’s got to be good). Tunacado (I love how it rolls off the tongue)  is great for your skin, hair and midsection. Don’t miss the opportunity to show off your green tuna. Great for Halloween and St. Patrick’s Day, too. Delicious on sandwiches or as a healthy dip.

    Ingredients:

1 can of water packed tuna
½-whole avocado, depending on how creamy and how green you want it
½ stalk of green onion finely chopped (more or less to taste)

Smush it around in a bowl and you’re done. How easy it that?! I like mine on a toasted sourdough roll. How do you like yours?

I add chopped Persian cucumbers, tomatoes, scallions, red peppers, apple and lots of coarsely ground pepper. I like it with mayo with but I’ll test it out with avocado next time. Thanks for the great suggestion.

I did a taste test today and compared with and without mayo. I’ll try to post the photo on your Facebook page. I liked my Tunacado a lot but it was very rich. I’ll have to alternate between avocado and mayo.

Maybe you had too much avocado. It is rich but it’s sooo yummy. Send me a photo :)
